Our story

Built in the 16th century, ten minutes from the royal château of Amboise, the Château de la Huberdière is neither a museum nor an ordinary hotel. It is a lived-in family home, one we open to you as we would to friends.

Your hosts: Lodovica & Patrick

Lodovica Dal Pozzo d'Annone is Italian, an entrepreneur at heart. She shares her passion for art, literature and Italian cooking. Patrick Jourdan is French, Breton to be precise: an international career and three passions, music, sailing boats and aircraft.

We have always loved to entertain. Small dinners and grand ones, celebrations, or introducing our friends to the joys of sailing. Surprising, delighting, amazing and looking after our guests has always been our pleasure.

A love of travel became a promise

It all began with countless journeys, for pleasure or for business, and a real fondness for comfort, hospitality, service, beauty and authenticity. From those journeys came a promise: to be, one day, in our turn, the very best of hosts, and to offer discerning guests the pleasure of a simple, generous atmosphere.

All that remained was to find the setting. It would be the Château de la Huberdière, which we restored with passion between 2021 and 2023.

Why the Loire Valley

We chose Touraine for several reasons. Its cultural and heritage wealth first: Amboise, Chenonceau, Chaumont, the Clos Lucé, Chambord and Villandry. Its natural beauty next, the Loire with its wonderfully wild banks, the peaceful and romantic Cher, the vineyards and the state forests. Its accessibility, finally, close to international airports, to Paris, to the high-speed train and the motorways. Not to mention the range of activities on offer and the serene refinement of the people of the Loire.

Our strength is our welcome

When we listen to our guests and their feedback, they are unanimous: our strength is our welcome. Present yet discreet, attentive and generous, always attuned to the mood of those who entrust their stay to us.

Patiently renovated over three years, the château is meant to be the setting for our lives, our travels and our passions. Our guests feel welcomed here as friends, free to wander the grounds, to pick up a paintbrush or a guitar, to leaf through an unexpected book or swim in warm water.
